full weekend
this past saturday was the fall festival in my home town. every year on the first weekend of november, there is an arts-&-crafts festival in town. vendors' tables line the center of the main downtown street, which is blocked off to traffic. there is also an antique car show that goes along with the arts-&-crafts.
chris and i decided to take janie. we brought along the wagon so that she could ride in it and i would have a place to put my camera case.
well... long story short, she didn't want to ride in the wagon. she wanted to pull it. that is, only after she threw a horrid fit because she wanted me to carry her the whole way. i just couldn't do it. i carried her for a while, but i can only hold her for so long now. she weighs 37 pounds. i guess i need to start lifting weights. *sigh*
anyway, after the festival (and her 3 hour nap -woo hoo!!!) i called a good friend of mine and asked her if she wanted to take her son to play with janie at the playground. she met us there and they had a wonderful time.
the next day i took janie to play with another friend of hers. they seemed to be having a good time turning over rocks and looking at the bugs under them.
but neither one of them ever actually touched one of the bugs.
they really are girly-girls.
