this is the reason that most people are miserable. because they focus more energy on making other people unhappy than they do on they own joy. once a person, young or old, can come to the point that they either care enough about other people that they can STOP wishing dreadful things upon people because of injustices they feel have been inflicted upon them (or even from ignorance or just plain envy) they will begin to truly enjoy life.
stop the gossip.
stop the unkind words towards each other.
stop the cruel looks behind each others' backs.
only then can someone be happy and stay happy for an extended period of time. because when you are at that point, your happiness is derived from WITHIN YOURSELF and not from other people. and only you can decide when it is time to really be content with your life.
why did i write that? not because i think that anyone else needs to hear it. because I NEEDED TO HEAR IT. BECAUSE ONLY I CAN MAKE MYSELF HAPPY. (of course janie brings me more joy that i could ever bring to myself...but i am talking about adults... you know what i mean...)
because it is time for me to GROW UP.
