bought it
i bought the car. it's a toyota camry. it's silver and has leather interior. i haven't actually gotten the car yet. they pre-sold it to me....which basically means that i was enough of a schmoe to buy the car sight-unseen. but i figured, hey, it's a BRAND NEW CAR.
anyway....i have spent the past two hours working on this layout. it didn't take me that long to come up with the picture, but it took forever to get the html right. i haven't done this in a long time (usually i just get a pre-made layout) and i had forgotten a lot of stuff about html. don't even get me started on css. *wink*
yesterday i got phone calls from two different dealerships in mobile. both of which sell toyotas. NEITHER of which actually HAD a camry on their lot that i wanted to buy. after haggling with one dealership about the price and getting them to add leather interior for NOTHING, i called the other dealership and told them that unless they could BEAT the price i just got from dealer#1, then oh well. they just lost their sale.
and they beat it. not only did they beat it, but i got the extended warranty to 100,000 miles that covers EVERYTHING.
i was SO worried that i wasn't going to feel good about this when i finally left the dealer (because, remember, i was signing all the papers BEFORE the car was to be delivered) but i felt fine. i continue to feel fine. the only thing i didn't get on the car that i wish i had ask about before i signed was for window tinting.
but, se la vi, right?
i still don't have the car. but supposedly i will have it by the end of the day friday. only 2 more days.
