janie started running a fever this morning (or last night... i dunno because i didn't check on her after about 11 o'clock and she was fine then). today and tomorrow are midterm exams at the school where i teach. i took janie to daycare and told nancy to PLEASE call me if her fever got higher than 100� (it was at 99.6� when i left her). i called to check on her a couple of hours later and she was coughing her little head off. *sigh*
i couldn't leave work today because of exams. i am here right now, actually. i have a meeting after school that will last about an hour and my mom is going to pick janie up from daycare and take her to the doctor, where i will meet them as soon as i get out of the meeting.
i will come tomorrow for 1 class. because that's the only exam i have left to give. i have gotten a couple of teachers to cover my next two classes because i was told that they couldn't get substitutes for ½ day because the money is not worth it; heck, i don't think i would "babysit" a bunch of high-schoolers for 4 hours for a measly $20 either.
but anyway...
so tomorrow i can be home with janie for most of the day. because i NEEDED to be home with her TODAY. i predict that murphy's law will reign supreme once again: she will be fine tomorrow and there will be no need for me to take off from work.
but, if that happens... i will be SO HAPPY. because that means she will be BETTER.
