Christmas day 2007

this morning, Christmas morning, chris and i went to wake up our little janie...

and when she would finally get out of the bed, she ran to the Christmas tree and sat infront of all the presents. i picked out a few of the many there were hers and she began to open them.

then i got to open my gift...

janie wanted to play with each and every toy as she opened it up. she opened about 12 presents and that took her over 2 hours.

after all the presents were opened at home, it was time to go to nana&pop's house. before we left, janie said to me, "momma, i missed santa cwause...he didn't come to see me..."

i haven't exactly figured out what she meant... either she thought she would get to see him OR she thought that because the one thing that she asked for wasn't under our Christmas tree. she had asked for a pink camera.

when we got to nana&pop's house, this is what the dining room looked like:

we began to open presents because we just couldn't wait until after eating... i think it was more the adults than the only child that were getting antsy about it...

jami and daniel have a new addition to their family, ellie the miniature dachshund. jami likes to dress the puppy up in sweaters and even has a doggy carrying case for her. ellie (or eddie, as janie says) is jami's baby.

but sometimes, jami likes to torture ellie just for fun...

janie ended up getting so many presents today that it will take her weeks to play with them all. and just as she might be able to get finished with these, her birthday is in january, less than a month away.

but there was one gift that she got that she has hardly put down since she opened it...

looks like santa cwause didn't forget about her after all....
