pioneer days

this morning janie, nana, and i went to pioneer days in a near by town. it's one of those old-timey festivals where the kids (and some of us adults) get to see first hand how things were done way-back-when...

all in all.... it was a pretty cool morning. except for the north vs. south reinactment that really wasn't that belieable.

and the fact that one of the soldiers had a gun and kept firing it -- which scared the CRAP out of janie. but i'm glad we went.
