okay.
i have a bit of a problem... well, it's not exactly a problem per se, but it's a dilemma...
janie wants her room to be pink.
i just purchased her a bright pink bedspread at my favorite store (dirt cheap) and she loves it. but she still wants her room to be pink.
and yes, i know she is only 3. and i don't HAVE to do what my 3 year old tells me to. but i really want her to love her bedroom. my parents never asked me what color i wanted my room when we moved to a new house. probably because they were worried that i would say GREEN! and the carpet was navy blue... but i digress...
right now, janie's room is the room that will become the study. and chris and i are using what will become janie's play room. here are some pictures to illustrate my story:

i know, it's horrible. the green wouldn't be so bad, but the orange? and we found the empty paint can in the basement and the name of the color is "carrot" which suits the color well...
now, back to my dilemma... janie wants a pink room. but i am scared to paint a whole room pink.
why, you ask?
because i do not want her room to look like a bottle of pepto-bismol exploded in it.
and because, even though i love pink just as much as she does, i am worried that she will HATE it when she is older.
and YES i know that later we can repaint. but i am SO not a painter (according to chris, and probably anyone else who really looks closely at the rooms i have painted) and i don't want to paint her room thinking that i can just repaint it later....
so. this is what i am thinking... a border or a chair rail around the middle of the room and only paint the top half of the room pink. but...there is a window seat in the room... what do i do there?
border or chair rail it too?
