pink and yellow
ahhhh.... home.
it's nice to be home.
it's even nicer knowing that inthe next couple of weeks, we will be able to move into our new home.
yep. the house is ours! everything finally went through and everything is signed. all i's are dotted and t's are crossed. chris has spent all day working in the yard at "the big house" as janie calls it. i spent all day with janie.
"maybe we should call it the new house, janie," i said. the connotation of jail is just too odd when coming from a three-year-old.
"no, momma. the new big house," she stated to me matter-of-factly.
"ok, darlyn. the new big house," i repeated to her.
"i want a pink room!" her eyes lit up with even the thought that something else in her possession could be bathed in the girlie froo-froo color of pink.
"but i thought you wanted a yellow room, like at this house?" if she really wanted a pink room, that totally screwed up my ideas about painting her room. good thing i haven't bought paint yet...
"i want a pink and yellow room!" she said while clapping her hands. and i think her voice hit new occtaves on the high side with that sentence.
little does my precious child know, she's gonna have TWO rooms in this new house (a play room and a bedroom) and she really can have a yellow room and a pink room.
damn, i love being a mommy!
