plastic scissors
more and more proof that grandparents will usually let grandchildren get away with SO much more than they would their own children.
i remember having to cut paper with PLASTIC SCISSORS (which i promise, did not work very well) until i was eight years old.
i also remember not being allowed to climb a ladder with my daddy because he was afraid i would fall off.
but janie? nah. let her have the pruning shears. let her climb the ladder.
no biggie.
