i kept having to chase her around this tree while i was talking on the phone to get a picture of her. after about 147 failed attempts, i think this one turned out pretty well.

after playing outside for over two hours, it was time to eat lunch. as usual, she did not want to eat what i made her. she wanted pudding and yogos. after arguing with her for a while, i gave in. *sigh* i know. but the really sad thing is, this is how she repays my kindness:

have you ever seen hands so icky-gross? and the real kicker was that, when she realized how icky she had gotten herself, she threw a fit! this kid cannot stand being dirty. i wish she would think about this before she squishes her hands in the next bowl of ice cream i give her...

while janie was taking her afternoon nap, i decided to snap some pictures of the windchimes that we have been collecting. i did not know that i collected windchimes. that is, everyone decided to keep giving them to us as presents. birthday, Christmas, easter, doesn't matter. here comes another windchime. i have grown to love them. but boy do they make a noise durring hurricane season.

after lunch and a well deserved nap, we went outside to sit on the porch and draw.

but janie didn't really want to draw on the paper. she wanted to draw on the porch and make a mess with her markers and crayons while giving me a go to h*ll look. can't do it without the look. it's just not as much fun.

sunday, we went to visit chris's parents after he got home from work.

i took the camera with me (of course) and snapped probably 300 pictures while we were there. janie apparently has an aversion to the camera, so this is all i got that are worth showing.

well, that was a weekend in the life of leigh and janie. hope you enjoyed our pictures. maybe i can go through the 2 gigs worth of pictures i have taken in the past week and get some more good shots. digital cameras are both a blessing and a curse. but i LOVE THEM.
