a while....
let's see...it's been since middle of last week since i added an entry here. on one hand, not a lot has happened since then....but on the other....it's all in how you look at it, right?
shea has been sick now for a week. i didn't find out about this until either last thursday or friday afternoon while i was at wal-mart. she broke out in a rash and started itching all over and breaking out in whelps all over her body and a horrible migrane headache. after two visits to the emergency room, they decided to admit her to the hospital and draw blood for some lab tests. she spent two days in there being pumped full of antibiotics, steriods, and pain medication. .... *note i said that it took two visits to the emergency room for them to decide to admit her and draw blood. what the in the hell??
she's still not totally better. they think it was some type of allergic reaction and they are just waiting to see if it will go away. but i am worried it could be something much worse. i guess we will find out when the lab results comes back.
janie seems to be getting better, but she still has a horrible cough. she has also derived this horrible attitude. i did not know that a 19 month old could have an attitude. she looks so angelic, but some times she acts just the opposite. apparently she has already started her "terrible twos" a bit early. *sigh* only 17 more months until she's 3. yipee.
chris and i decided to go look at some land north of jackson. it's 3 acres and perfect to build a house on. we started dreaming about building a house. we were trying to be smart about it....talking about how we should buy the land first, pay it off and then we could build our dream house. and it's only 3 acres, right? how much could they want for it? we were thinking max $15,000. and we were hoping we could get by with only paying like $12,000.
but no....
they want THIRTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS for this land. THIRTY-FIVE FREAKIN' THOUSAND DOLLARS!
looks like we will be in wagarville for a while.....
