day 16: i am thankful for nancy :)
nancy is the kind of person who loves children. LOVES CHILDREN. and they love her too. every morning before i took her to daycare i would ask janie if she is ready to go see mrs. na-na, and her reply is always, "yes!"
this woman opened her home to 10 little people every day. but the thing is, she doesn't just open her home to the children. the parents were just as welcome.
she is still helping shape the lives of children and families. she's helping to RAISE these kids. she's the epitome of a warm-hearted, down-to-earth, good person.
has two wonderful children of her own, and numerous more that she loves just as much as her own. i can ask her anything and get a straightforward response. i can also ask her for any favor under the sun and voila! it will be so.
she is the kind of woman who will drive twelve miles out of town to my house to bring janie her bear at ten o'clock at night, because she has forgotten it at daycare and she cannot sleep without it. she is the kind of woman who will wax my eyebrows at seven in the morning because she knows that they grow like kudzu in the summer.
i am absolutely blessed to be able to call her my friend :)
