opinion
it has come to a point that i can no longer have an opinion.
about ANYTHING.
well....i guess i can HAVE an opinion, but i cannot SHARE my opinion. and what's an opinion worth if you cannot SHARE it?
there is a HUGE vote about to happen in the town where i teach. the county that this town is in is dry. no alcohol is sold (legally, anyway) within the county limits. the town of jax has decided to put the whole wet/dry issue up for vote. on may 10th, jax will either become a wet municipality, or it will stay dry.
easy enough, right?
there has begun a war. a war between the Baptists and the non-baptists of jax.
i am a southern Baptist. i was raised in a small southern Baptist church. i met my husband in this same southern Baptist church. my child was dedicated at this same southern Baptist church.
and this is the church that is so austere in its view against alcohol. 
and until this vote is over (which, might i add, i cannot even vote in, because i do not live in said town) i will not return to my church.
maybe i should look into Methodists. they don�t seem so duplicitous.
