order
i ordered a laptop from dell.
i am so excited!!!
i have wanted a laptop since i was 17 (but of course they were way too expensive back then and i had no $$$ to buy one with anyway).
it's got an intel pentium 4 processor, 2.66 ghz, 15.0 xga, 512 mb of ram, 30 gb hard drive (which i know may seem small to alot of people, but my last computer only had a 8.7 bg hard drive; i figure 30 is plenty), and a 24x cd-rw/dvd combo drive. it's got a whole slew of other stuff too, but that's the basics.
when we finished the baby's room this past weekend, chris decided to rearrange the living room. and it is beautiful, but there is no longer any room for my desktop computer. it use to be in the 'computer room' (which is now the baby's room) and we were going to move it into the living room into a corner.
not anymore.
so chris said that i could have my laptop.

since i am getting the laptop i have coveted for so long, i am giving my dad my old desktop. his computer is even older than mine and it runs like a dinosaur on the internet. he maxed out the ram on it and it still only has 256 mb of ram in it. i think mine maxed out at 768 mb or something. maybe it's only 516, but its still more than his. he bought his computer back in 1994 (before windows even looked like it does now...anyone remember 3.11?? i didn't think so...)
so, all in all, everyone is happy. i am just getting impatient waiting on it to get here.
