ThyssenKrupp AG, which is a steel-mill company based in Duesseldorf, Germany has the option of building a $3billion stainless steel manufacturing plant in lower alabama. not too far from where i live, actually. the actual mill is supposedly going to employ 2700 permanent workers once it is up and running. the construction for the plant is allegedly going to employ over 30,000 construction workers between the point of initiation and the year 2010.
lets count the ways that this could positively impact my life:
numero uno chris could get a construction job CLOSE TO HOME. granted, it would be just a construction job (meaning the duration of it would be slight, in the grand scheme of things) but he would be able to come home every night. EVERY SINGLE NIGHT.
numero dos theoretically, chris could get a PERMANENT JOB. yeah. something he has not had since we have been together � which is going on 9 years now. he has worked construction for 9 years. that is a long time. too long.
