forever and ever
the winner of the flower girl dress poll was the first one. i have found many many other flower girl dresses that i have fallen in love with over the past week. but they don't come small enough for janie. she's gonna need a 2T or 3T and some of them don't even start until 4T. apparently janie is a very young flower girl.
we took janie to a friend's house saturday night. she hasn't been coughing as much (hardly at all) and there were other little girls there, so we figured it would be good for her to get out and see the world a little bit.
she had a blast! she played on the neato swing set, she jumped on the bouncy trampoline, she played with claus -- the chocolate lab, she drove a mini-four-wheeler that was monstrously too big for her, she ate divine veggie lasagna, she played with about 30 match-box cars for over an hour, she played dress up with a fairy costume and a hula skirt and learned how to shake her baby-booty... she had a blast!
chris is now working in mississippi. he's found a guy to carpool with, so the drive isn't so grueling on him. he drove yesterday and the other guy is driving today. he didn't get home until seven o'clock last night, but he was in high spirits. THAT makes all the difference. before, he was home by 5:30 or 6 o'clock at the latest, but he was in a pissy mood. and i know this might get monotonous as time goes on... but right now, he's happy.
he spent 30 minutes last night sitting on the floor with janie in her bedroom playing with her toys while i was cleaning up the kitchen. i stood in the doorway for a few minutes in awe of how much i love the two people in that room.
because i don't know what i would do without them. both of them. saying i love you cannot begin to encompass my feelings about these two people. they are my heart. my world. my life.
