Christmas 2005 pics

today was the first day back at school after the holidays. so far, there have been no snags for me (take into account that the day is not over yet). i have three different classes this term and i am already enjoying each one of them. next week i start a new college course for my teaching certification, so it would be hugely wonderful if this term went smoothly.

we'll have to wait and see.

-------------------------------

did you actually think that i wasn't going to post EVEN MORE pictures of my BEAUTIFUL child and her MAGNIFICENT Christmas? first off, lets look at the picture of her in her Christmas dress. notice the sliver-tone and blue POTATOE CHIP CLIPS on the back of her dress. these were strategically placed by her loving pop (pictured with her) because her mommy bought her dress way too big. oh well. ya'll will be seeing that dress again next Christmas...i paid too much $$$ for it for her to not wear it.

this one is another of her in her dress. most of these were taken on Christmas Eve at my parents' home. since we hadn't gotten to opening up presents just yet, pop was trying to keep janie calm by playing with her blocks ... or "boks" as she calls them.

now on to Christmas Day! these too, were taken at my parents' house. here is janie and jami cooking on janie's new barbie stove. my mom paid like $20 for this thing (which is regularly like $120 or more at walmart) at hudson's dirt cheap because it didn't work (after a new set of batteries and a few minutes of tinkering by pop, it works GREAT!) let's hear it for hudson's dirt cheap!

here is pop trying to figure out how to extend the seat up on janie's new tricycle. janie seems unconcerned about the fact that she even HAS a new tricycle. actually, she got TWO. and it took us THREE FRIGGIN' DAYS to get her to ride either of them!

by now the task has apparently become too much for pop to handle and chris has to step in for some assistance. notice janie, now sitting, playing with her plastic bracelets that i bought from dollar general for like $1.

this is a precious picture. even though janie was more excited about the plastic bracelets and the barbie sunglasses that she has had for over a eyar than she was about the tricycle. when we showed her that the tricycle has a trunk, she became much more interested in it. she put her bracelets and sunglasses in the trunk and walked the tricycle to the kitchen. *sigh*

by then i was tired. you can really tell in this picture. chris and i had stayed up way to late the night before finishing up wrapping (and giving each other some presents) and i was already pooped by 10:30 on Christmas morning. janie loves to play with her new harmonica...although she hasn't figured out how to actually play it just yet.

i know she's pulling on my shirt so it looks like she is grabbing me, but she's not. so no lewd comments. can you actually be in-love with your child? i think i am. she's my world and i can't wait to see her!

and that's it for now. i am going to take a picture of the diamond earrings that chris gave me and post it...as well as the new dishwasher that mom and dad (nana and pop) gave me (it was just installed yesterday). i can't believe that Christmas is over. i am already thinking about next Christmas....and janie's birthday is just over two weeks away!

xoxo
