for chris...
we just spent our eighth Christmas and New Year together. there have been so many ups and downs for us in the past eight years that i have begun to lose track of them. the past year of our lives together has been the brightest of them all. even more so than the honeymoon-period right after we got married. because for the last five months of 2005, you have been HOME. you have been the husband that i always wanted and the father that janie deserves.
i didn't make any resolutions for 2006 yet. i don't think i really ever do. because i'm not real good at making HUGE promises to myself and actually following through with them later. like, "i am going to lose 75 pounds this year!" or "this year, i will save half of my paycheck every month!" so, i figure why? unless i am going to make a resolution that is actually attainable.
but i think i have one. my resolution for the year 2006, is to let you know everyday that you are appreciated and that i love you.
