chris came home last night. actually it was around 4:30 or so in the afternoon.
"what do you want to do this weekend?" he asked as he smothered his romaine lettuce with hidden valley ranch salad dressing.
"no one has said anything about anything special going on this weekend," i replied as i took took the chicked out of the freezer.
"we could always do something, just you and me," he said. "dinner and a movie?"
out of no where i was excited. like i was going on a first date or something. what's up with that? "the new star wars movie is out. you wanna go see that?" i asked. knowing his answer would be yes. he 
loves that crap. (and by 'crap' i don't mean that it is all pointless. it's just that science-fiction just doesn't do it for me, you know?)
so i called my mom and asked her if she would mind keeping janie ALL NIGHT LONG on saturday night. to my surprise, she acted more than pleased to keep her. it has been over 4 months since she kept her overnight...so i must not be taking advantage of her, right?
anyway... we have an all-night baby sitter AND we are going on a date.
